Winter Jasmine

December 12, 2015

Today the weather was in the low 70’s. We have several Winter Jasmine bushes here that normally bloom bright yellow as in the pictures from late December to January.  Seems this year that we are two weeks ahead of schedule.  I took some cuttings and brought them to a very special lady in my life who shares three wonderful children with me. Flowers blooming outside in December!

I even notices some daffodils just beginning to come up.  Now if January turns really cold, this could all become a mess. But today I was on the mower in a T shirt mulching up some of the grass areas I did not get to in the fall.  Then this evening, we all had dinner together and shared some time together. This is much of what is beautiful about what family is all about. I sincerely wish that it could be that way for so many others in the world whose lives have been broken apart by hatred and needless wars. I hope these flowers represent the bright yellow sunshine of a new age of peace and good.
